Importance of Brand Recreation results in Expansion of Print Department
Great Central Plastics Ltd understands and recognises the importance of brand image. That's why they are not in the business of holding stock of standard products in standard colours. They offer a bespoke moulding/printing service ...whether your enquiry is for a standard product required in a specific colour or material or whether your requirement is product design, from concept to pre production sample to full production. Either way, they mould to order which enables them to manufacture promotional products that correctly represent a company's corporate brand and image.
Its all in the Finish...
...the increase demand for high quality, precise print finishes has resulted in Great Central Plastics expanding their print and finishing dept with the addition of 5 more pad printing machines and two ultra sonic welding machines. These enhance their ability to accurately recreate a company brand, logo or message in one to full colour process print, and also now assemble more complicated mouldings with a strong welded finish.
The company constantly strives to improve service and product range and is sure that this expansion will further enhance their reputation for delivering on time, quality plastic products.

TAKING GREEN MANUFACTURING A STAGE FURTHER
Of all products supplied into the promotional gift market, plastic moulded items are probably the ones which are least thought of when looking for an environmentally friendly gift. Yes there are eco friendly materials based on starch and plant fibre and of course moulding in reprocessed material goes without saying. Great Central Plastics Ltd have been reprocessing their scrap material since the business was founded in 1998, not only to reduce waste being released into the environment, but also to keep costs down.
The big question faced by responsible plastic injection moulders is how can they go "the extra mile" and make a positive impact towards a more eco friendly method of manufacture?
Looking at materials is one way and very important, but a more significant factor is the amount of power needed to run moulding machines. With this in mind, Great Central Plastics have just installed a 132 panel Photovoltaic system on the roof of their factory in Woodford Halse, the power output from these panels will provide nearly a third of their annual power usage, all green energy supplied by the power of the sun and more importantly the system will displace 13,653 kg CO2. per annum.
Tony Phillips Managing Director said "We have implemented many initiatives within the company to be as Eco friendly as possible, but this is without a doubt our most ambitious. The system represents a major investment for the company but with significant benefits of reducing our electricity bill and reducing our carbon footprint. These panels will help us achieve our ultimate goal of being a greener, more cost efficient and more responsible UK manufacturer."
